Flamboyant Flintoff gets perfect farewell

The tall Lancashire lad got a perfect farewell from International Test Cricket as England went on to beat Australia by 197 runs in the final test to win the Ashes 2-1.The allrounder who had his golden period around 2005 when England won the Ashes under Micheal Vaughan had decided to quit test cricket after the Ashes 2009 series.Flintoff, who has always been the people's favourate in England made a quick 22 in his last test innings at The Oval on Saturday.Even though he wasnt known to be consistently brillant, many of his great performances came against the best teams at crucial occasions.Inspite of not having exceptional statistics,he is believed to be one of England's All Time Best Allrounder.Flintoff underwent a knee surgery after the Ashes and hence won't be available for the upcoming ODI series against Australia in England.
