Australia thrash Pakistan again, series in bag

Australia won the 3rd ODI of the current series winning it 3-0 with 2 matches still to go.Australia batted first, with Shane Watson and Shaun Marsh giving them yet another good start.Watson made 33 before being cleaned up by the talented Mohammed Asif, while Marsh made a well compiled 83.Marsh is a very talented youngster and he proved his talent in IPL 1.He is definitely one of the youngsters to look forward to in IPL 3.Skipper Ricky Ponting hasn't even fired once in the whole series and yet Australia have won it.This shows how good a team they are and inspite a top batsmen not firing, they are winning easily.Micheal Clarke compiled runs nicely, however,he wasn't able to hit the big shots. His timing wasn't exactly at his best and made most of runs by running rather. The batsmen who provided the acceleration in the end was Micheal Hussey.Popularly called Mr.Cricket,Hussey smashed 49 off just 28 balls and helped Australia pile up the runs in the last 5 overs, when the batting powerplay was taken.Australia ended up with 286,thanks to some bad bowling towards the end.Umar Gul who is usually brillant with his yorkers, had a bad day.His yorkers were just not on target. This gave Hussey enough chance and he took most advantage of it.48th over bowled by Gul went for over 20 runs,as he bolwed 3 different no balls.First, for overstepping, second for height and thirdly for haveing less people in the ring than allowed.
Pakistan in their run chase were off the mark right from the start as they lost their 2nd wicket in the 2nd over itself.Opener Salman Butt was again good for his 34.Umar Akmal played well for his 59,as he showed sensibility and good mindset.Apart from that,Afridi played a cameo for 40 and Rana Naved-ul-Hasan also made 27.Pakistan ended up well short. The Man of the Match was given to Ryan Harris.Harris who was an essential part of Hyderabad Deccan Chargers team that won last year's IPL,took 5 wickets and made sure the series was in Australia's pocket.Clint Mckay also took 3 wickets.
The next two ODIs are going to be dead rubber and I think both team will test out their bench strength.Doug Bollinger and Shane Watson have been rested for the next ODI and Michelle Johnson has got a call back.Pakistan need some kind of inspiration to get a win under their belt and stop the Aussies from a whitewash.
