Ricky Ponting quits T20 cricket

In a bid to prolong his ODI and Test career,one of Australia's most successful captain Ricky Ponting decided to quit T20.Ricky Ponting wil continue to captain the country in ODI's and Tests,while Micheal Clarke is expected to takeover T20 captaincy.Ponting,who played 17 T20's for the country will however,continue to play T20 for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL and domestic side Tasmania.Under Ponting,the aussies went out of the recent T20 World Cup in the very first round.Recently having lost the Ashes in England,Ponting had said he would like to comeback in 2012 to win the ashes in England.
