The new skipper Gautam Gambhir won the toss and elected to bowl first.The bowling attack of DD did not get disappoint him and restricted a superb batting line-up of Kings XI Punjab to a mere 142.For KXP,Ravi Bopara made 56,while Irfan Pathan made 21.Hardly anyone else contributed.Dirk Nannes was amazing with 2/12 in his 4 overs.He got breakthroughs early on.In reply,DD lost 2 quick wickets as Sreesanth looked right on the money.DD went on to lose wickets consistently,though Gambhir batted really sensibly.He batted till the last over and did the job needed by his team.Mithun Manhas supported him really well,chipping in with a 31*.Gambhir's 72 off just 54 balls earned him MOM award.
Also,Preity Zinta looked stunning in a beautiful punjabi dress,however,her team campaign hasn't started on the right note.
