The IPL Dhamaka has begun

Well,just two days into the IPL,and already we have three really close matches.How does this almost always happen.The first match was between the defending champs Deccan Chargers and SRK's Kolkata Knight Riders.DC elected to bowl first.KKR didn't start well and lost 4 quick wickets.Chaminda Vaas swung the ball nicely and got 2 crucial ones.They were reduced to 31/4.It was a stupid decision from their part to send Manoj Tiwary and Brad Hodge to open the batting.Tiwary being a middle order batsmen,shouldn't have batted at this spot,especially when they had Ganguly in ranks.However,even he disappointed.Chateshwar Pujara,the man with a big reputation in domestic cricket also managed just 10.However,a unbeaten 128 partnership between Owais Shah and Angelo Mathews took KKR to a fighting 161.They both played really amazing innings.DC started off really well,with both Gilly and Laxman playing well,however,they crumbled and in the end lost by 11 runs.Many batsmen threw their wicket away.Murali Kartik and Charl Langeveldt bowled pretty well.KKR will sure be excited to play their next game at home with a win under the belt.
